The company was formed in 1980 with the goal of becoming the world’s premier supplier of helicopter and marine rescue equipment.  Today, the LSC product line includes over 300 rescue, safety, and survival related items, ranging from helicopter hoistable litters, harnesses and baskets to inflatable life jackets.  All equipment is constructed to withstand the harsh conditions encountered in marine rescue operations.  Simplicity and ease of maintenance are inherently designed into each product.

As well, LSC is a leading distributor for quality products manufactured by Stearns Inc, Mustang Survival, ACR Electronics, Cyalume Technologies, Pelican Products, Aqua Lung/US Divers, Sea Vision, and 3M.  The distributed items complement our own manufacturing capabilities, and enables LSC to consistently meet the demands of our domestic and international customers with outstanding service and attention.

How To Place An Order

Terms
Domestic Government, Police, Fire Departments:

• Net 30 Days, VISA, or MasterCard.

Domestic Businesses & Individuals:

• VISA, MasterCard, or Prepay by check or bank transfer.

• If prepaid with a business or personal check, shipment will be withheld ten (10) business days before release.

• Residential deliveries by UPS will be assessed $5.00/carton service fee.

No Minimum Order (All Customers):

• Orders less than $100 will incur a $10 handling fee.

Shipping

LSC offers free shipping on most orders.

• Free shipping via UPS ground service in the contiguous USA.  Some exceptions apply.

  • Free shipping does not apply to the purchase of rigid Strethers (#404 series), Rescue Baskets (#496 & #499-B), life rafts, or pyrotechnics.  Individual shipping quotes will be offered for these items based on quantity and destination.

  • Residential deliveries will be assessed a $5 per carton handling fee (this fee assessed by UPS).

  • Shipping charges for all other modes of transport (air, motor freight, U.S. Postal Service, etc.), or shipments outside the contiguous U.S. will be charged to the customer.

• Provide a complete physical street address for delivery.  A Post Office Box address can only be utilized when shipping via the U.S. Postal Service.

• Provide LSC with a daytime telephone & fax number, email address, and point of contact at the delivery destination in the event a question arises pertaining to your order.

• International shipments will be assessed a $50 service fee on all orders less than $3000 in merchandise value.  Freight fees to be prepaid with the order.  Goods will be sent duty and customs fees collect.  Optionally the goods will be made available Ex Works at LSC's facility for pick-up by the buyer's forwarding agent.

• Customers are to inspect deliveries immediately upon receipt.  All discrepancies must be reported within 10 business days.

Return Policy

• All returns must be authorized by LSC.  Approved returns must be shipped freight prepaid to LSC and must be marked with the LSC Return Authorization Number.  LSC will not accept returns after 30 days from shipment.

• Custom marked items cannot be returned.  Orders for custom markings must be in writing.

• A 15% - 25% Restock Fee will be assessed on merchandise accepted back into inventory.  To be accepted back into inventory the item must be returned in new and unused condition, within original packaging and must include all components and instructions as originally provided with the item.

• All sales of the following specified items are final.  Listed items may only be returned for warranty repair or replacement.

  • Special Order items (products ordered on your behalf).

  • EPIRBs, PLBs and other radio Beacons.

  • Life rafts and Law Enforcement Emergency Platform (LEEP).

  • Custom marked or modified equipment.

  • Pyrotechnics (flares, signaling smoke, etc.)

• Product defects will be resolved under LSC's or the manufacturer's warranty policy.

Corporate Membership and Accolades

• Lifesaving Systems remains active in the East Coast Chapter of SAFE. The Association is dedicated to ensuring personal safety in land, sea, air and space environments.
  

• Lifesaving Systems is a corporate member of HAI (Helicopter Association International) and regularly displays at the annual HAI Heli-Expo.
  

• In March of 2002, LSC was announced the 2002 Prime Contractor of the Year for Region IV by the US Small Business Administration. It is a great honor to receive such recognition, and the staff of LSC is extremely proud of the achievement.
  

• For the years 2002, 2003, & 2006 LSC obtained "Best Value Gold Medalist" recognition from the Defense Supply Center Richmond (DSCR).  The recognition is determined by the Automated Best Value System (ABVS) which collects a vendor's past performance data and translates it into a numeric score, ranging from zero to a perfect 100. Only those contractors with a perfect score of 100 receive gold medal recognition.

Product Warning
The products offered for sale by LSC are of a rescue and survival equipment nature. Inherent to all rescue and survival environments is an increased risk of injury and/or possible death to an individual or group of individuals. The equipment advertised within this website, other LSC publications or offered by LSC is intended to aid the professional rescuer(s) and/or survival victim(s).  However, the risk of injury or death can not be completely eliminated or foreseen. Equipment training, including continued proficiency reviews and maintenance, is vital to the proper and safe use of all rescue and survival type equipment. It is the responsibility of the purchasing and end-user organization or individual to define the operational procedures and safety guidelines associated with the proper utilization, maintenance (including service life) and storage of the rescue and survival equipment. All individuals must be thoroughly trained and familiarized with the intended purpose, correct use and function of the equipment.  Failure to do so may result in serious injury or death.

Limited Warranty
All LSC Products are warranted to the first consumer purchaser to be free from defects in material or workmanship for a period of one year, with the exception of electronic products which shall contain this same material/workmanship warranty for a period of 90 days, from date of purchase.  Any item found to be defective within that period will be repaired or replaced at LSC's option without charge, provided that (1) the product was not misused; (2) its failure resulted from a defect in workmanship or material and not from damage in transit or damage due to corrosion or abrasion or other wear normally to be expected in the use of the product involved; (3) the product is delivered to LSC at the business address, together with proof of purchase; and (4) this warranty is superseded and invalidated if repairs are attempted by anyone other than LSC.  No other expense or liability will be assumed by LSC.  Purchaser's remedies with respect to any product sold by LSC that is found to be defective because of LSC's breach of the above warranty, express or implied, or because of LSC's negligence, shall be limited exclusively to the right of repair or replacement at LSC's option of such defective product.  In no event shall LSC be liable for claims (based upon breach of contract, breach of express or implied warranty, negligence or any other reason) for any damages whether direct, immediate, foreseeable, consequential or special or for any other expense incurred by reason of the use or misuse, sale or fabrication of products which do not conform to this warranty.  Products sold but not manufactured by LSC are subject to the warranty provided by the manufacturer.  LSC's warranty is supplemental to the manufacturer's warranty, and consumer must seek remedy with the manufacturer prior to submitting a warranty claim to LSC for said items.  Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts or the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to purchaser.  This warranty gives the purchaser specific legal rights, and purchaser may also have other rights which vary from state to state.
