Cyalume^® Lightsticks
The CYALUME^® Lightstick is a portable and cost-efficient source of light.  Each Lightstick is a pliable, plastic tube filled with two nontoxic chemical solutions, one held separate in a floating ampule to prevent activation until required.  They are packaged in a foil wrapper for protection until use.  Click photo for larger image.

Cyalume^® Lightsticks

To activate, bend the tube and shake.  This breaks the ampule and mixes the chemicals.  A cool bright light is released via chemi-luminescence, a chemical reaction converting energy to light without heat, flame, or sparks.  No batteries, bulbs, or lenses to break or replace.  Available in 7 colors with durations from 30 minutes to 12 hours (see table below).  These lightsticks are suitable for a wide range of field-proven applications.  All lights are 6" long.

#231 Cyalume^® PML Chemical Light
The Personnel Marker Light (PML) is a safe chemical light approved by the USCG and the FAA for use on life preservers.  Squeeze handle to activate.  When activated, the PML emits a yellow-green glow which lasts for a minimum 8 hours & is visible up to 1 mile on clear, dark nights.  A superb emergency light source for life preservers as it is waterproof, windproof, nonflammable, easy to activate, and requires no batteries.  Four year shelf life.  Click photo for larger image.

#708-RLL Rescue Laser Light™
A unique concept utilizing the concentrated power of a laser in a focused line of light for signaling and search purposes.  It operates on 1 common and easily replaced 3-volt Lithium CR123 battery providing up to 40 hours of continuous use.  The focused lens extends the typical laser "dot" into a brilliant laser line for greater coverage.  Use the Rescue Laser Light™ to signal in the same manner you would with a signal mirror or conventional flashlight, but add a slight scanning motion.  Provides nighttime signaling range up to 20 miles, and is effective in daytime up to 3 miles.

The laser light has excellent return off reflective surfaces making the unit an ideal search tool for locating markers and persons (man overboard) with retroreflective markings (up to 1 mile).  The Rescue Laser Light™ is built to last in a marine environment, waterproof to a depth of 80 feet, and is nonflammable.  Therefore it is much safer to store and operate than pyrotechnic flares.  The output laser power measures less than 5 mW (FDA Class IIIa) and is equivalent to a standard laser pointer.  Can be safely used to signal persons at distances greater than 13 ft (4 m).  Click photo for larger image.
